Die Verkäufe bestehender US-Häuser (Januar) sind mit +6,7% auf eine Jahresrate von 6,50 Millionen besser ausgefallen als erwartet (Prognose war -1,0% auf eine Jahresrate von 6,10 Millionen; Vormonat war -3,8% eine Jahresrate von 6,09 Millionen).
Die Verkäufe bestehender Häuser machen etwa 90% des amerikanischen Immobilienmarkts aus und sind daher von besonderer Bedeutung!
Die Median-Preise stiegen im Vergleich zum Vorjahresmonat steigen um +15,4% auf 350,300 Dollar
Die NAR, die die Daten herausgibt, schreibt dazu:
„Buyers were likely anticipating further rate increases and locking-in at the low rates, and investors added to overall demand with all-cash offers,“ said Lawrence Yun, NAR’s chief economist. „Consequently, housing prices continue to move solidly higher.“
„The inventory of homes on the market remains woefully depleted, and in fact, is currently at an all-time low.“
